Travel Information - Getting to Sydney

If you travel to the conference by plane, which seems to be the default option, then your final airport is Sydney's international Kingsford Smith Airport

  • which is located only 10km away from the city centre, where the conference will take place. There are train stations located at both the International and Domestic Terminals.

    Information for International Participants

    All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia (other than New Zealand passport holders who will normally be granted a Special Category visa on arrival). There are a number of visa options available, see: Most international participants will need a business visitor visa, either a eVisitor (e.g. passport holders from the European Union) or a short stay business visa, see this information. We recommend that international participants applying for a paper-based visa lodge their application at least 6-8 weeks before their intended travel date to Australia.
