Installation

run "MicrosoftAntiSpywareInstall.exe"
- click "Next"
- Select the "I accept the terms in the license agreement" radio button and click "Next"
- Click "Next" for the default software location
- Click "Install"
- Place a check mark in "Launch Microsoft AntiSpyware
- Click "Finish" at the end.

Configuration

Setup
- Click "Next" to begin the setup phase
- Click "Next" to allow the default AutoUpdate setting
- Click "Next" for the default Real Time protection
- Click "Next" to allow the software to connect to the Microsoft SpyNet community ... or change the setting to "No so that it doesn't.
- Click the "Run Quick Scan Now" button
- Click the "Update Now" button if prompted to update spyware signatures then click "Close" when updated
- Allow the scan to complete or halt it and do a "Deep Scan"
