1. insert installation boot disk
2. from that disk, run "Optional Installs"
   1. click "Continue"
   2. click "Continue"
   3. think long and deeply about the licensing conditions and then click "Accept" or "Decline" accordingly (in the latter case you are done)
   4. click "Continue"
   5. click onto the little triangle next to "Applications"
   6. check the checkbox next to "X11"
   7. click onto the "Install" button
   8. provide the password and click OK
3. when finished, click "Close"
