Configure Printers in Mac OS X

1. please be aware that the procedure below will only work at all if your machine has been enabled for printing on our CUPS server by the Programming Team
2. under "Hardware" in the MacOsXsystemPreferences, click "Print & Fax"
3. click the "Printing" tab and repeat the following steps for each printer:
   1. click the little button with the '+' on it under the printer list
   2. click on the desired printer from those with a connection type of "Shared Printer" (not "Bonjour")
      • in case your machine has only just been acquainted with the CUPS print server it may take a while for a list of printers to build up
      • if nothing happens at all, please ask the Duty Programmer to enable print server access for your machine
   3. click onto the "Add" button
4. click "Show All" if you want to configure other settings, otherwise close the panel
