Configure Date & Time Preferences on Mac OS X

1. if you are using a laptop, just leave the setting as it comes (time server time.apple.asia.com), otherwise
2. under "System" in the MacOsXsystemPreferences, click "Date & Time"
   • in the text box labelled "Set date & time automatically", enter "ntp.it.usyd.edu.au" (unless on a laptop where I'd just leave it as it is)
3. click "Show All" if you want to configure other settings, otherwise close the panel
