  • In 2008 I received the Faculty's award for outstanding teaching (Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies)
  • In 2006 I completed the Graduate Certificate Program in Education Studies (Higher Education) at the Institute for Teaching & Learning and in 2008 I completed Masters of Education (Higher Education) at the University of Sydney

  •  2009, small TIES grant "Support for writing of literature review and research proposal for IT students", $7,200: Irena Koprinska, Kalina Yacef and Judy Kay
  •  2009, large TIES grant "An Online Environment for Introductory Programming", $113,619: James Curran, Tara Murphy, Irena Koprinska, Alejandro Montoya, Tim Langrish and Abbas Elzein
  •  2007, large TIES grant "Promoting Interdisiplinary Learning Communities Using Interactive Plasma Displays", $57,720: Andrew Vande Moere, Kalina Yacef, Irena Koprinska and Rafael Calvo.
  •  2006, SESQUI teaching equipment grant "Computer lab and electronic response system", $36,453: Judy Kay, Irena Koprinska, Kalina Yacef, Bob Kummerfeld and Greg Ryan. The grant funded a dedicated computer laboratory for projects for our advanced and TSP students and an electronic response system for interactive lectures.
