Submission

Original unpublished papers are invited. There are three submission categories. 35 peer-reviewed accepted papers will be published as full-length (10 pages max.) in the Springer The Visual Computer Special issue and will be presented orally at the conference. Some papers (max 15) will be accepted as short papers and appear in a digital conference proceedings together with the full papers. Posters will also appear in the digital proceedings. Short and Poster papers will not appear in the Visual Computer Journal. To encourage dissemination of your research work, the copyright of the Short Papers belong to the Authors, and not the conference. Therefore, you will have a full right to revise the work and publish an improved version at a different journal or a conference.

  • Full papers of up to 10 pages (including figures and references)
  • Short papers of up to 4 pages (including figures and references)
  • Poster papers of up to 2 pages (including figures and references)

You may include supporting materials (either in PDF or zip file) as part of your submission.

All papers submitted to CGI'14 will be checked for plagiarism including self-plagiarism. If a paper is found to fall in the category of plagiarism, the paper will be automatically rejected.

Note that the review process is double blind, which requires the paper and all supplemental materials to be anonymous. Ensure that self-referencing is anonymous (refer to your full name rather than "I" or "we"). Avoid providing information that may identify the authors in the acknowledgements (e.g. co-workers and grant IDs) and in the supplemental material (e.g. titles in the movies, or attached papers). Avoid providing links to websites that identify the authors. Violation of any of these guidelines will lead to rejection without review.
