The University of Sydney IT Alumni Association (USITAA)
Welcome to the website for The University of Sydney IT Alumni Association (USITAA).
The Basser Department of Computer Science (now the School of IT) at the University of Sydney was established in 1958, the first computer science department at a university in Australia.
In the past forty years the School has helped advance IT in Australia through research and education, with over 4,000 students graduating from faculties across the University having studied IT.
In 2008 the University of Sydney IT Alumni Association (USITAA) was formed.
USITAA takes part in a range of activities with the School of IT, including:
- Outreach activities - a number of alumni are involved in the National Computer Science School (NCSS). NCSS works with the school to run the NCSS Summer School, the NCSS Challenge and the Girls' Programming Network.
- Sydney Open Day
- Graduation Dinner
- End Of year Function (EOF)
- Networking functions
